OK, so what is the answer to these prices? Is it really because Bush owns oil stock (or whatever some believe) or is it becuase we will not drill in our own Country for our own reserves?

What is different today than a year or so ago when it was a $1 cheaper per gallon?

The company I work for has a closed gold mine and the joining property received all the necessary permits to mine their gold. They spent odles of money in this community, near $100 million dollars over three years. Enviro groups got hold of their project and ecology went after them. At the end of the day the legal bills to get ecology of their backs was almost $20 mill. They ended up closing the project down and going to Thailand looking for gold. Oil and gas exploration runs into the same types of trouble. Hence why Arnold promised no new offshore drilling off California.......

The U.S and Canada does have combined reserves that would take North America out of the mercy of Arabs and that scum Chavez!!!! In both countries enviromental lobby fights and high costs of drilling via other factors it will never happen.............
