Re: 97 baja 240 sport- Thinking of purchasing and need advice
Right now I have about $22-24k saved up. I'm in minnesota and am looking to go on the chains of lakes around this area. The lakes are pretty mellow around here no huge wakes to bust through. I basicly want the largest offshore performance type boat that I can afford and still pull with a 1/2 ton truck (silverado 4x4 with 5.3L) Single engine for sure. Speed is not hugely important 50+ would be nice. Also reliability is a factor- we only have 4 months or so out of the year to boat so I don't want anything too old that is going to need to be fixed all the time. It would be nice to sleep 2 people onboard once in a while and hold 4-6 people for crusing around. I think If I try to aim more in the $25k range there should be alot more boats to pick from. I'm seeing alot of mid 90's 24 ol's for around that price. Any other suggestions?
Here is what I found so far when upping the budget a tad:
seems like the best buy so far with only 133 hours http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/7/0/83324270.htm

The first 24 OL in the previous post seems to be a really nice! I would jump on it before someone else does. You might want to look at Checkmate, they are a excellent boat and you find many in your price range.

I've got a 1997 Baja Outlaw SST with the stock 454mpi/efi and big k-planes, in very good condition (needs a few minor details) that I'd sell for under 18K, no trailor.
Come and get her, she's on Marco Island,FL

Look into a 24 Rocket/ 25 Agressor from Sunsation. It fits your budget and are made in Michigan (www.sunsationboats.com ). Great company, you can call the factory and talk to one of the owners about any specific boat they have made in the past 24 years and they will have a file on it!
