Yep, I lived nearby it for a few years and I know some people that work there. This has been in the making for a while now.

Yep,
I've been buy there a couple of times, and in fact, I stopped there to look @ Formula a couple of years ago, before I bought the Nordic!
Glad I didn't buy anything there!

A Florida boat dealership was raided by the Seminole County Sheriff's office and two boats were seized by deputies, according to a story in the Seminole County News. The Sheriff's office raided Aquamarine USA Inc. yesterday, and drove away with two boats they believe were stolen.

The Sanford dealership, which bills itself as having the "largest selection of pre-owned boats" in Florida, was also raided in January 2003, and owner Earl Marion Smith Jr. was arrested on charges of fraud to obtain property worth more than US$50,000 and grand theft by scheme to defraud. He is currently awaiting trial on one count of grand theft of US$100,000 or more.

Officials told the paper that they have received complaints about boats being sold without titles or without the proper amount of money going to boat owners.

Nope. But it's the kind of place where you could dump an untitled boat, no questions asked......They also brokered boats or sold as consignment.....only they would sell a customer's boat, but never tell him it sold...when they'd come looking for it, "Oh, it's at the detailers," or "it's on a sea-trial right now..."
The money from the sale was going to pay the last boat they sold...

All in all, it's a relatively small operation...most of the sales were old pontoons, small CC's, bass boats and the like. Most of the inventory were older boats worth less than 5K.....occasionally, you might see a newer, more expensive cruiser or go-fast.

Nothing compared to Bill's National operation....I don't get it.

This small-time schmuck is facing charges, yet Bill is selling homes in the same state.
