Top Banana, is it safe to assume that :

"Bounty Hunter 1" was a 40 ft Cigarette
"Bounty Hunter 2" was a 35 ft Cigarette
"Bounty Hunter 3" was a 39 ft Cigarette, kevlar with round deck

also does anybody have a adress or tlph number to Billy Martin ?

Dean's Slingshot was two boats: the first was a Cig.40' that raced in 1977 in Key West World championships like in the pic above, then he bought a new 39' sister boat of Nordskog's Powerboat Magazine pitured in the post by Littlenige.
This one was lenghtened in 1979 by Dean to 44' and became a Dean Special 44',still named Slingshot and raced the World Championships in Melbourne in 1980 where Meynard won with the wodden Cougar 38' Fayva Shoes, because was the only driver (together Toleman)to come in Australia with a cat where alls thought that the waters of the Melbourne Bay would be rough.

In 1979-80 Meynard had a 39' "rounded deck" bought from Martin. Then there was the white Popeye's of Copeland,39' "rounded deck",Cigarette/Halter numbered 15/5 for Wayne Vickers in dark blue colours, then in 1983 in Key West Finals there was the same dark blue renamed Fayva Shoes......are alls the same boat?
Then Copeland re-sold it to Meynard?

Exactly Marco, thats my question , a Cigarette/Halter is listed for the 1978 season, then "Bounty Hunter 3" is listed for the 1979 season, then "Fayva Shoes" in the 1980 season, then "Halter Racing" 1981 season and finally "Popeyes" for the 1982 all 39ft Cigarette. somebody on this forum ought to know if it is the same boat ?

About 6 months ago I tracked down the current owner of the atlantic highlands cigarette. I talked to him about the history of the boat and I determined fairly quickly that he was out of his mind. When he told me he was asking 20 grand for the boat as it sat it confirmed he was out of his mind. I nicely told him that he would be lucky if someone would take it and he could never get 20G for a boat in that condition. I later got a call from his daughter who said she tried to tak to her father and explain the real value of the boat and he did not care. Oh well....I guess it will rot right where it sits.

About out of mind peoples
The same thing it happened to me some mounths ago when I asked to the owners of the old Cigarette 36' Lady Nara(the famous winner of the CTC in 1971). Those guys shot 120.000 euros(over 150.000$) complete with a couple of igniominous diesel engines.....
Only few years ago the same guys wanted 38.000$ for the same unselled boat.
The power of the rising vintage.....
