First off the organization that put on the event said first boat to the first stop, which was a 24 FT Skater powered by twin 200's, not a 42 fountain with reggie at the wheel, and not NO FEAR! are they faster Yes , they outpower the skater by 1600 hp, but that day a 24 skater was king of the river

Second we certainly did get passed by reggie and his race boat, and maybe a few more! on the way to the first stop,
But due to a small error in Navigation, they didnt get there first.

Which brings up a real good question, If you dont know where you are going do you think getting there at 150 mph plus is a good thing.

and as for passing us all day well after the second stop a powerhead let loose, and ended the day. however we still went to lunch and cruised back to the ramp on plane with one engine.

Ryan Beckly and Mark Hanna were in the boat. ask them they are both stand up guys.

I guess we do know who "sees what they want to see".

No not the IHBA 0-100mph race at the end, the offshore race boat portion in the middle where both boats are going balls to the wall.

Now go get the taste of balls out of your mouth - its making you testy

Not one post about SR or the 150 mph cats being irresponsible...

A lot of hypocricy here.
Maybe there's so much Reggie bashing because his little publicity stunt was in bad taste and doesn't sit well with so many.

There's always a few boats that run high 100's in poker runs and it's probably not always safe. But to be an owner of a large boat company and to come and challenge people to race (when it's not a sanctioned racing event and without their knowledge ) is VERY irresponsible and childish.

And being a Fountain owner, YOU should think that what he did was irresponsible. Just imagine the lawsuit that would follow if the Roses boat ran over and killed a family in their 19' Bayliner. The lawsuit could jeopardize the whole Fountain company, especially when it's brought up later in court that it was all for publicity...stupid. Maybe SR was driving these speeds too and it's also unsafe for him, but all he has to answer to is his own, not a huge company, stock holders and boat owners that would suffer if something bad happened.

Maybe people make fun of him because he's an easy target with what appears to be a very large ego..."No movie stars down there..." "Bye Bye ***** cats..." "Guess they couldn't stand the strain and pain..." "Fastest boat in the world..." JEEEEEEZ, get over yourself. At the very least be a true good sport and not talk so much sh!t...Act like a juvenile and then guess what happens? people will treat you in a juvenile manner.

You are leaving out a LOT of the story, but if being first to a card stop makes you or your friends big shots, have at it.

Why is it when anyone gets beat, there is also some excuse? The 200 lost a powerhead, Speed Racer blew a blower belt.

If you want to talk the talk, you better be able to walk the walk. and neither boat did. Like I said before, its not the Daytona 499. Its the Daytona 500.

There was NO challenge that anyone know of. Rio Roses and speed racer got side by side and went for it. PERIOD. If SR didn't want to play, he didn't have to push the sticks. No throttle, no race.

Maybe SR was driving these speeds too
It seems from the BOGUS SR cockpit pictures that he was running at 170. IN AN OPEN BOAT. Now he needs to tell his secret about how he did that at 4500 and 5500 RPM on his motors.

I'm sure Wall Street was paying attention to the poker run . Actually, Sales and profit for Fountain have been great since they got Brunswich as the boss. But those profits come from their sportfish, and their cruisers. Their offshore stuff is a much smaller part of their profits
