3.3 would be fun. I just meant the contestants can run faster on a longer course with bigger wheels. I couldn't care less what boat is the fastest, but the 36 Budweiser Select Skater is the answer for gasoline power.

he can run over 170 from a standing start in less than 1 mile? he has done this? i have only seen 4 boats do this so far (old callan, new callan, miss budweiser and the 36 bacardi silver)

and of those, only one was a piston powered boat....

Not really, Ben Robertson said they only saw 153-154 that day. So at 174 they would have chased them down pretty quick.

I AGREE TO THIS. MANY BIG POWERED V'S AND CAT'S HAVE QUOTED A LOT GREATER MPH THAN WE GOT FROM THE SHOOTOUT SO TIME WILL TELL. I WAS IN A 36 SPECTRE CAT WITH STOCK 575'S ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE SHOOTOUT 3 YEARS AGO DOWN THE MAIN CHANNEL IN 3-5 FOOTERS AT 118 I BELIEVE WITH 5 IN THE BOAT AND THE FOLLOWING DAY IN THE SHOOTOUT HE ONLY GOT TO 105 OR SO. WE ALSO SAW 2 OF THE BIG POWERED SKATERS LAUNCHING LAST YEAR ON THURS. AND THEY ONLY GOT TO 150ISH RANGE AND THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULD SEE 170 FROM THEIR TEST RUNS PRIOR TO THE SHOOTOUT.
