Formula FasTech 353 Sport
I was impressed with this model because of the value it offers.
As you may know, this "Sport" is the same boat essentially as the "Regular" 353. Less options and standard features.
BUT..
I could get the boat with T-496 HO's and standards only ...no options...in August from the factory...
$169,000.00 plus tax and trailer if needed...from the dealer in Northern Michigan. (Scott)
The boat is said to go about 71mph with a 1/2 tank of fuel.
Now granted it's not screeming fast but decent.

What do you guys think?

Last 2 we sold GPS'd at 75.3 and 76.3 respectively. And the interesting thing if you order the desirable options like mechanical trim indicators, electric footrests,Lathum Steering, etc.,you really don't have a Sport, you have a regular 353 with black motors, and save about 10K.

That's sounds like a great deal on a great boat. However for anything that goes over 65 especially on a boat that size and weight I'd get the full hydraulic steering.

We always order the Lathum full hydraulic steering. It's not a listed option on the website but is is definately an option.

Most of the 353 Sports I have found to be in stock at dealers around do not have external steering.
For 180k + tax..I found one with:
-496 HO's
-5 year warranty on drives and engines (is this typical or a dealer "throw in"??)
-Premium Imron paint...red; blue and blacks scheme..it's okay but I am not crazy over it.
-Bimini top
-Cockpit cover
-ShorePower
-Heavy Duty Offshore tie bar
-Upgraded drive with showers
-Vacuflush
-VHF
-GPS
These are all 2007 models.
I am not sure if the 0% financing for 2 years and then 2.2% for 13yrs deal (I think that is the one?) is still in effect ??
If I can make it happen for $180 inc tax and delivery I might jump...but see your point with no ext steering. Can always be added later?

That sounds like a great deal. The 353 is a boat that should get more respect. I have run those VERY hard in the past and been amazed how they hold up. Nice to see the prices fall back to reality.

9,100 lbs...8'3" beam vs. 7,600 lbs for the 35' 8'6" beam Fountain EX...about the same price now.
The Formula is a wave crusher... I also heard later today 75-76 mph on GPS is common with HO's...the Fountain is 78 mph on GPS.
The price will make this boat's sales take off...the bottom steps are fresh and it is a very competitive package again from both a speed and price point.
Rumor has it they may offer a 38' Sport for lower price too.
