So what do YOU do...?

Yes, it does happen a lot and I mostly just smile at them or even laugh and then just go about my business. The last thing I would want them to think is that I actually did give a chit.
So why did I then go out and buy my turndowns that seemed to make everyone so happy ? Maybe I am more sensitive than I thought ? Or maybe I'm confused?? LOL I dont know. I did call Double R today to ask them to take them off for awhile.
Need to stir things up a bit here.

I've noticed alot of people are going with turndowns...mostly I think because of the increase in noise restrictions. I am actually considering them to keep my neighbors happy...
Looks like Gibson makes some clamp-ons that might do the trick...but the sound is why I own the boat...so now what's the point? such a dilema...

Maybe if Wes' boat had a big 1 on the side they'd understand. Resin buckets get no respect.
But in all seriousness, the best you can do is just go about your business. Or maybe next time, when close enough to the dock, have someone jump off w/ a spring line, tie off quickly and throw them a stern line... and shut her down. Tie her up w/ the engines off.

2 yrs ago i went out w/ MM on his 41 w/ the 650sc and dry pipes. He was docked between two 40+ searays w/ people on board everywhere.
He started the engines, warmed them up, then shut them down. We spent a few minutes untying the boat, then restarted and went on our way. This way he didn't disturb those around him for anymore than necessary.
