No, I believe he was in one of Sjogren's boats, a pleasure 47' with a bunch of people in it. He did not bring the "Cat Killer".

Boat wasn't there as it is getting ready for a kilo race in NC. As one of the director's of the Chicago Powerboat Club I respectfully request if you would like to continue to debate the press release and "cat killer" claims please start your own thread on that subject. I must say First class event. Everyone was great. Me and my crew had a blast. Even though the water conditions were not the best. First Poker Run I was on and I'll be there next year just tell me when to send the check. A+++++ job by every one involved setting it up. :D :D :drink:

Boat Freak 28

Thanks for the ride in your awesome 28 Active thunder. It is truely an offshore boat. The boat has plenty of free board a very forgiving ride that eats the waves. I hate to say it but it shamed my 28' Checkmate in the rough, although my boat is faster in the calm water. There are a couple threads about the best 28 er and I think this boat should be right at the top of the list!

Mike thanks for the ride, dam I want a new boat again. There goes the neighborhood! By the way, thanks for the beer! Greg and I had a great time with you guys in Chi-town on Sunday!

Candy man, Beth and I feel for your loss. :(

To all CPC directors and members, you are First Class. Thank you for the hard work and top-rated run. Taod, Mike Fiore and teams, Shogren, Reggie, Wyatt, Rio, Sydwayz, Gatorone, ooops...almost forgot OSO Steve who was in bed at 2am Sunday and did not want to come out and play, Jack Links, Pammy boat, and many others,,,thank you for taking the time to spend with us.

Magic Medicine and his friend were the only late night partiers I could find.
Seems like everyone was in bed :bunny: at midnight. What's up with that?

Oh well, met one of my favorite boat buddies thanks MM and his bud (sorrow can't remember his name but he has some great pix he needs to send me)

Magic Man had the late-night set up in the parking lot, we kept the theives out. Great to party with you guys!! :drink:

Bob Z's new 42 is awesome, I Love You man. :evilb:

Candyman, got your message, thanks for the call, all went well back to Milwaukee. Just recovering and alive again. Thanks for the new avatar.
Mark Smith, what kind of cereal are you on? (this guy is non-stop-now I know why you are our leader)

I would like to say Thank You to all that entered the Chicago Powerboat Club's 2nd Annual Poker Run to benefit Childrens Memorial Hospital, and to all of the sponsors that support us, especially during this event in particular. The number of entree's for the poker run grew compared to last year, and that will help us provide more to Childrens Memorial Hospital. The Chicago Powerboat Club will continue to look at ways to further improve the event, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Thank you all for your support, we sincerely and greatly appreciate it.

Re: Chicago Poker Run 2006

As some of you know my dad was the Card boat in Michigan City, which was the first card stop of the run! He was in the boat that I grew up on in "The Big Pond." He want me to tell everyone that he had a great time and is ready to do it again next year! He said that everyone that came to the stop were class act great people that handled their equipment impressively. If you know my dad he does not often give compliments, so this means alot coming from him. He said he enjoyed seeing all the beatiful boats and enjoy talking to the boaters as they drove by! He wished the lake wasn't so rough so he could have saw more of the boats. Lastly, he said that you guys handle your boats alot better than the dumba$$ sailors that we run into constistently on the lake. This means alot coming for a long time sailor, he sold his last sail boat 28 years ago when I was born.

I want to thank all the partipants for being so nice to my dad and showing him what performancing boating is all about!

Thanks guys and gals,

Andy Serafin SR and JR (The Magic Medicine Crew)
