Great to see this thread still going strong...LOL

My Fountain 38TE just went through it's 300hr service and is still running great. I hate that the market is so soft because I'd like to downsize into a 28-33' go fast CC with twin outboards.

Hard to do that on a 39 Go Fast.
We also put a lot of emphasis on keeping you out of the elements. With the full height windshield and side flares there is very little wind at the helm for three people. Add our gunnel mounted wind curtains to the side of the console and it's like being indoors. In addtion three people can ride behind the helm seat facing forward without any wind either.
"gunnel mounted side curtains" - I assume you mean "gunwale". Either way, I like to see a picture of them.

I always spelled it as gunwale but some people didn't get it.
Found out gunnel is acceptable also.

Thanks for the clarification. Any pics of the side curtains?

The new CC boats are really very nice but to me they are still a fishing boat. That's not to say if I had a place down in FL I wouldn't buy one, it would make a great second boat. If I was down there though I'd like to be able to fish and cruise but in the end nothing beats a "go fast" boat and personally I don't want more that three or four people in my boat. It's funny how this thread started five years ago and is still relevant and how some peoples perceptions of CC boats have changed. For a lake boat hwere we boat about the only thing that is kind of neat is that you can run them late into the fall without having to hassle with winterizing them. It's more about what you plan on doing and what your personal preferences are.
