I had a blast this weekend. Here are some pics...
I had the opportunity to drive a 1918 raceboat. What a blast. Thanks to Mr. Phil Spencer. The garwood and the laker are my uncles.

and now for the finale. Mr. Mark Mason gave us a treat by stopping by with beautiful Impshi. It was built in 1924-1929. It now has an innovation marine 600 horse motor with Eickert manifolds. The boat is immaculate. Enjoy the pics, but they do not do the boat any justice. Thanks again for the ride Mark.
As for the history of the boat, Mark had this to say:
"Her name is Egyptian and it means Go!! Go!!! Go!!! It's a slang word which is often yelled at taxi drivers. Horace Dodge named it in 1925.. Rumor has it that the Dodge family cruised the Mediteranian on their 258 foot yacht the DELPHINE and came home with this name."

What a boat. Mark also let me know that he has another one identical to impshi. The boat is named THE HORNET. She
is stained a dark ebony and varnished rather than painted as IMPSHI If anyone is interested, pm me and I will put you in contact with Mark.
