A few years ago, you had to run 39' or less in the Catalina Ski Race, it was either cut off the beak or the swim step. There are a lot of Fountains out here with that seam on the nose...

Baja added 3' "falsies" (as Ross called them) to one of their Express-built cats to get it into Open class- eons ago.
