Many 42's on the west coast have the beaks clipped for the ski race. When done right it slips back in with two posts and two screws in the rub rail.

It order to do it right it takes two slides, two 4" screws extra glass, hacksaw and a rabbi. (Sorry, I couldnt resist!)

Still would not work because the ban states no boats over 60mph and the 27 Fountain is a good 10mph over 60.
