I have yet to boat up there, but one day I will.
Being so close to the Ocean and really great scenery in that area is awesome.
Just on the other side of the island you have this nice ocean to play in.... :drink:

Also, to meet the performance boater's needs, I found this nice marina equipped with boat lifts, dry rack storage and a watering hole called the Waterfront Cafe.

I bet a good weekend to be there is 4th of July.

You are just minutes from being able to see the New York Harbor Fireworks display...

Being as my sister lives in Rumson, I could probably use her permit for the town ramp that is just west of the marina...

It just might be a plan for next season! :drink:

First I gotta correct your spelling, it's Navesink River. The area of Navesink Marina is actually on the Shrewsbury River.

My boat is at my house now but my lift is in that row! FYI, we are the ONLY marina with 93 Octane in the area.

Sharkey, Ron M still owns the Sutphen. That boat ran real nice in it's hay day, blew a lot of lowers and powerheads though.

The boat hasn't been run in at least 5-6 years... :(

On a positive note, Red Bank is much nicer these days. They've really done a lot to make the town nice. It's just a little to trendy for me. :drink:

Barnacle Bills (Burgers and Long Island Ice Tea's), Salt Creek (Double Cut Pork Chops, mouth watering) and Windansea are my favorites these days! :drink:

Middletown, my hometown, was recently voted as one of the top places to live by money magazine. The more I travel the more I realize I live in an area that's pretty nice,,,or at least I think it's nice! :evilb:

I used to drive over the Oceanic Bridge in 1971 in a 64 Corvette roadster and go to Barnacle Bills when it was the small bar on the dock filled with drunken fishermen and assorted knuckleheads. Damn, that was fun!

Yea but they like Edison better

We'd never make the list, with a population of approx 3000 we couldn't generate enough votes :drink:

Sharkey don't let our little secret out, this is why I never go into Barnegate. We have it all up here and we don't have the crowds.
