North to northeast winds 15 to 20 knots... increasing to around 20 knots and gusty by late afternoon...except on waters from Key West to beyond Dry Tortugas winds 20 knots and gusty through the day. Seas beyond the reef building to 4 to 6 feet. Seas higher in the Gulf Stream. Seas inside the reef building to 2 to 3 feet. Nearshore waters becoming rough. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Northeast winds 20 to 25 knots and gusty. Seas beyond the reef building to 7 to 9 feet. Seas higher in the Gulf Stream. Seas inside the reef 2 to 4 feet. Nearshore waters very rough. Scattered showers.

The reef is all the reef area East of the land that is pretty much under a hundred feet of depth.Further east of the reef it drops off into hundreds of feet of water, this is no longer reef,and further east is the Gulfstream.
