Cig experimented with a single step in '99/'00 and put the twin step in full time in 2001.

I don't know how many single steps were built but it was probably only a couple race boats

Never ridden in the Cig but ridden in MANY 382's and liked them all. Just looking for a comparison.

This sounds like it would be an arguement between me and my wife if we were shopping that range of boat.

For me - Cig, hands down. Offshore legend - need I say more.
For her - Formula. Very high quality, attention to creature comfort, performance boat.

Both are great boats, and I don't think you'd go wrong with either.
It just depends on what you want to do with your boat. And let's face it, anyone buying a go-fast wants to get a little attention from everyone. What kind of attention do you want, and from who?
Race/Poker Run crowd, or Luxury crowd??
IMO, Cig is built to Run big water, and then they make it look and feel nice.
Formula is built to look and feel nice, and then engineered to also run hard.
Can't lose - Just depends what you want.

theres an awful lot of variables here...i just bought a 353 fastec, and looked at a 30 Mystique. are you powering them comprably, age etc...$$$ is what pushed me into the Fastec. a 1999 353 vs a 2000 30 Mystique...if money were not an issue i'm all about a 39 Unlimited with 850's and 6's

I would have made the same decision if those were the two boats I was shopping.

BTW - Congrats on the 353 - I saw the Pics in the other thread - looks great!
