Don't get the wrong impression about the twin step guns. Driven properly (just like everything else) they're great. Theres a good reason there were only a few single step TG's built

Low blow. Not true either. I did hear that Cig
came up with the cover girl cabins because
their hull designs wont allow a full cabin or the
boat gets squirrly. Any truth to that ?

They can't put a full cabin in because it causes too many stress cracks in front of the cute petite plexiglass windscreen! That coupled with the fact that the steps begin to wear though the hull and the boat can break in half, or actually three places in the case of the 2-step design.

I was told by a Formula sales person at a boat show that they were chopper gun boats. I was stating what I was told.

No low blow intended.....Sorry for the mistake.

No prob. I don't own one. But I do know that they
are hand laid and a real quality boat.
Sometimes it seems like there are only 2 kinds of
boats on OSO. Cigarettes.....and all others.
If I had my choice of the two ,I'd take the Cig. Strictly
for styling reasons. I think quality wise they are both
pretty even.
What is with that "cover girl cabin anyway"? I
really am interested in knowing.
