The Emma Maersk (ship in pic) was featured in the Globe and Mail (Toronto) today. Some interesting facts to share...
Currently the largest container ship in the world, at 396m (almost 4 football fields!). Its beam is wide enough for 22 containers beside each other, for a total of 13000. You would require a train about 75km long to carry that same number! It also has more horsepower than 1200 "average" car engines.
Its scary to think of anything bigger, but apparently its the first of a new generation of container ships. Fly your jet ski off one of those wakes
