I believe different manufacturers are having different experiences with the NXT. It may just depend on the bottom and the install. Formula had some issues during their testing but I believe they got straightened out, but Formula has been working with it longer than others.

Sunsation has had excellent experience with the NXT so far on their F4 implementation. No handling issues at all. I know they were somewhat nervous about it going into it because of some issues Fountain was having.

I can tell you from 1st hand experience, the 39 Cig, at 106 MPH tracked perfectly (for appx. 25 miles) ---- seriously! I do know Neill mentioned they worked and worked to get the X set just right (and they did). Cig. has the set-up down perfectly for the 700/NXT 39' TG.

....and I'm not saying this because I am a Cig. fan. No PR here. Just sharing info on the new stuff.

The NXT's did initially have tranny problems. It got worked out quickly though.

I've seen the Merc bulletin and it alludes to applications with VERY high x-dimensions needing the additional bullet length. No surprise that Fountain has been pioneering this on v-bottoms. It does sound like different manufacturers have had different experiences

I hope they run well on a 36 Nor-Tech Supercat. I just pulled the trigger on my second 3600 and went with the 700's with the NXT"s.

BAJA HAS THEM ON A 35 OL, FROM THE pics it looked nice big tail to just like a 6drive and they were running 104 or above first time out.

The NXT is a cone clutch trans.Just a bigger version of a Bravo moved out of the gear case. I heard from a Merc rep @ Ft Lauderdale that they HAD some mechanical issues early on but had resolved them.
