At least offshorse cost less than cruisers. I paid $550 with compression recently for a survey. I'd never consider buying a boat other than brand spanking new without one. It's cheap piece of mind. Even my survey didnt' catch all the things wrong with the boat, but caught things I didn't notice, also.

okay....are there any options to follow if say your accredited surveyor misses something...like say a completely rotted transom...or is the survey not really worth the paper it's written on??

Ok,,here it goes .

Never got anything back instead dump'd a bunch of dollars in it and racing it .
Currently 2008 national & florida champion !!!!!!!!!!

To answer your question,,NO ,,its not worth the paper !!!!
