I found a letter from Jennifer Quinn(suneeker NY) writing to me about the money she collected at the 2002 nyc poker run for my friends who were killed alomost 5 years ago in a skater in NJ and also donations for Doug Lewis who had multiple myeloma (who has since passed RIP) and even scarier is my mom has been diagnosed with the same thing Doug had.......

So in reading that letter there was 5 people I knew that are no longer with us and my mom being diagnosed I guess will be 6


Really hit me how lucky waking up everyday is a blessing

each day I wake up, I consider it a bonus!

sorry to hear... and I can relate..I worked onocology all last year. with biomedicine and genome research thats currently going on..hopefully it wont be long before we see some really good treatments and prevention coming along. I am going thru the hosp thing right now with my niece, shes just 2 months old and just underwent major heart surgery as she was born with 2 holes in her heart amazing what they can do.

I remember a that one night with her on the board like it was yesterday. That is sad man. I hope your mom has an amazing recovery.

jenn was a good friend of mine and I still miss her. It kinda totally sucks how things eventually ended up.

Sling sorry to hear about your mom. Hopefully she'll be able to recover from it. My uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer about 2 years ago and was basically given 3-6 months. 2 years later he's still around putting up a good fight and still relatively healthy. With soem luck your mom will have even better luck than my uncle and be able to beat it fully.
