Before buying my Powerplay last year I read hundreds of posts and commets about them on OSO and other sites. I wanted to learn as much as I could about them and there history. I also talked to guys that raced them and knew all there is to know about them. Out of all the comments I read and heard I never seen a negative one until this accident. Some of you guys are very quick to judge the integraty of Powerplay. There is alot of information that has not been released about this accident and I aim not going to post any of it here due to an on going insurance investigation. I'm sure when this investgation is over you will find there was never a catastrofic hull failure as you put it, rather a catastrofic accident and the quality and integraty of Powerplay will not be in question.

wasnt the boat in question a old race boat, not a "pleasure" boat? didnt look like it had a cabin. I have seen pics' of plenty of race boats torn apart. just my .02

If your looking to spend the night on the boat I would pick the Sonic or AT.

Wow I didn't mean to stir this up! Powerplay is my first chioce! accidents happen period! I wouldn't mind another Sun but many of my friends have them already, I like the AT but the wife doen't...Sonic is another strong possibility! I already have a PP in mind but need to keep my options open in case the deal falls through. I posted this because it seems alot of good boats are sold by word of mouth...

Its not your fault, some people just seem to stir things up.

I/we actually really like the Formulas but the berth in the 292 Fastech was almost a foot shorter than my 25 Sunsation, I think that Sonic is still available, I know someone who's interested..............
