36' Outlaw 100 MPH ?

Does anyone know of a 36' Baja Outlaw that is capable of 100 MPH? What kind of power does it take to get to the century mark?

As an owner of a 36 Outlaw that runs 84, I would have to say it is going to take at least 1000 per side if not more and Number 6 drives to get it done. Unless of course you removed the whole interior. Then I might be closer to 92-93.

The Outlaws are very heavy and inefficient wave crushing hulls.

What power are you running in your Outlaw?

I thought there was one with 900's and 6's that got there. i may be wrong

I would think it is similar to a straight bottom Top Gun, they take about 1000hp x 2 to get there.

It was for sale in the Dupont Reg. a while ago. I think it said was build for the owner of Baja and ran 109mph. Also maybe just sold on Boattraderonline.com

This boat with 900's was billed as the Fastest 36 Outlaw at 105 MPH back when it was for sale a few years ago.

It still shows up on Lake Cumberland Marine's website. One of only two I know of that were built with #6 drives.

Hawkeye Boat Sales has a new 35 Outlaw with 700's that will run better than 100 mph. Seems that somebody had some photos on here of it being built.

Would it really take an additional 300 hp per side to push the 36 to 100 vs. the 35?

Pier Pressure in Canada has one with 900's and #6's I recall it running a hair over 100.
