When I got divorced, my wife signed a "Quit Claim" on our (my) house. Wonder if you could do the same thing with a boat? If you can, you may not have to re-finance. Check it out with your attorney - could save you headaches and money!

Power to ya - you will have a fresh set of boobs on the boat this summer! Mark

I have done numerous refinances for people having gone through a divorce and always handled the documentation at the same time as the refinance.

ahh I know this drill. Went through it back in '99

I signed a quit-claim deed on the house, but without new financing on her part, it wouldn't necessarily keep the mortgage from showing up on MY credit reports. She refi'd which is a good thing as she turned out to be just as financially irresponsible as the bankrupt loser she married. You want your sh!t SEPERATED now and forever. Influences you can't foresee now can make it a very messy PITA if you don't!

as far as the boat... maybe but the above potential headache/b!tching still may apply without new financing.

keep the house and c/c debt sweetie I'm taking everything else including the previous boat, which I refi'd.

and yes, I too had a KILLER new set on the boat the very first summer!

living large and the freedom to do it is right around the corner brotha'

Good luck
