Check out Craig's List in N.H. there is a 31' Sutphen for sale. A friend of mine owned the boat, I looked to buy it a few years ago, hull seemed in great shape. I believe it is the old "Magic Gem". This may be a good piece for HORBA.

I dont believe thats the boat Magic Gems,M.G. was purchased by Don Mason from miami and he raced it (Bandit Racing Team) he later sold it and purchased the express cat that Scott Manders raced called Intese Marine in which he made it a pleaser boat and sold that and now owns an advance......I dont know were that boat is but Magic Gems was painted all white and gone threw. I really dont believe this stuphin that your talking about has been gone threw at all...looks pretty original to me.....

I'm sorry, it is the old "Gypsy Man" not "Magic Gem". When I last looked at the boat it was in original condition but the hull looked incredible. My friend had bought it some years ago from a race team, he has since stepped up to a 44' MTI with twin turbines!

Lucktstrike: I think you are right, a 30'. I looked at the boat a couple of years ago and although it had been sitting for some time the hull cleaned up as new. Boat has a lot of potential.

If it has a legit race history it qualifies.....there are some nice video clips of Sutphens racing on the site.

T2X also has some good videos from the Sutphen years.
