Default Boat Lifts

Im looking for a 7000lbs hydrolic boat lift. A self standing lift / removable lift to use on onedia lake. Im looking at shore station, hewitt and shoremaster. They seem to be the 3 most popular. I was just wondering if anyone has any of these lifts they can recomend one over the other. they are all in the 7-8K price range I just dont have much experence as to what the better brand is. Its lifting a 26 Wellcrat Excalibur if thats matters.

i have a basta marine lift and a hewitt. the hewitt is a bigger and beefier setup, our hewitt is the plug in type, where as the basta runs off of a battery. the basta lifts much faster. I am not sure if the hewitt comes with the battery capability. both seem virtually the same, just the speed of the lift is faster in the basta.

basta lifts used to be called Nyman Marine, we had a nyman lift and put a bubbler system around it for the winter, and needless to say, that the bubbler stopped working and the lift got mangled in the ice. So when we went back to buy another one it was a basta marine, it was the exact same lift, both very durable and strong lifts

i've looked at a lot of lifts and the like out there. fresh water, salt water, calm, rough, ease of use, quality and ability to last a very long time (often longer than a boat), nothing, i say nothing has ever caught my eye like the Sunstream product!! I don't sell it or anything - - just wanted you guys to know about it. if you are a detail oriented person, i challange you to find a better build product in it's class anywhere. u get what you pay for but never more. The address is sunstreamboatlifts dot com
cheers.
