Bang for your buck! Here is one a little larger than your size range, but well within your price range. Just depends upon what kind of amenities you are looking for.

SUPERBOAT!!! The Y2k is the best boat for the money! You could maybe find a used 28 Skater also.

I don't know you or your boating experience, but from what you have posted I would suggest a SAFE BOATING COURSE first. And then lots of seat time at reasonable speeds to get real familiar with your new boat. There is a wealth of information on OSO as to what boat you should buy. After your purchase, your prime consideration should be SAFETY for you, your passengers and other boaters.
