We run rear facing scoops on the race Boat becasue going out of the inlet to Point Pleaseant is never a dry one.

The pic I posted of the Tiger was a buddies boat. Has twin Teague 1000's in it. We ran that thing in the SCOPE Long Beach poker run and were running weeeeeeell over 90 (into the blowers) for almost the whole trip. I was standing in the back on the starboard side and at the end of the 100 mile run I couldn't hear out of my left ear...Just a loud ring...Lasted for 4 days!

Hope that answers your question.

Here's a pic from the actual run.

Thanks, I like the look of them facing forward, but dont want to be deaf the week after.

Anyone have noise experience with rear facing scoops?
