Default Need help in Kern County CA

I know this is not boat related, but I need help with some property my elderly parents own out there.

Best as I know it is in the Mojave desert, they bought it back in the 60's and now it is time to sell. 2 parcels, I think 80 acres each.

Anyone know the area? Better yet a reliable realtor out there?

Thanks!!

Kern County is Bakersfield, one of the county controled development corps I'm talking with in California. All I know however about the area, is agriculture business is not doing well. Florida is experiencing the same thing; the problem is not the economy either. Farm lands have become valuable and alot, meaning most farmers are selling out. Not sure how much their property is worth, but its probably a fair bit.

You'll need an agent with land development experience, this is the mistake I've made. Selling a home is a dif animal from selling a raw large chunk of land. My agent did'nt know that my farm land is being annexed in the next two years into our cities urdan growth plan. Both housing and even condo's are on the table instead of a farm when everyone is getting out of farming!!!! Wrong agent and its just desert instead of a future desert retirement community.

Check out their properties assesment:

Get an idea of what its worth before talking with any agent.

Marc
Kern Co is bigger than Broward. If you know where your folks have property, like along I-14 from Palmdale to Rosamond, or in or around Bakersfield , than it shouldn't be too difficult. If its in a small, remote place, like Boron, then it might be hard.

try these papers

PM me if you need more help

Kern County is HUGE. What city is it near? Some of the communities have booming housing, some have dieing agriculture. Narrow it down...

Marc
Depending on how close the property is to the Honda test track, they might want to buy it to protect themselves from future complaints.

Good luck
