Default Are Jasper Outdrives anygood?

I am looking at a boat that is very nice...it has everything i want in a boat but the guy told me while it was in his lot someone stole the stock mercury outdrive off the merc engine...and they ahd it replaced with a jasper one... How good are Jasper outdrives? anything to be worried about? Thanks

Jasper is a large rebuilding outfit. I'm sure their techs have the training to rebuild them properly. Their rebuilds do come with some kind of warranty , look at the jasper site and ask for the paperwork from the dealer if it worries you. We used jasper at a shop I worked at for car motors.
