What a sad, sad shame. SOTW is perhaps one of the biggest, best, and most charitable runs in the country, and for it to be put off due to some ill-conceived lawsuit - where responsibility is attempted to be placed on someone other than the responsible party - is outrageous.

Man that's a bummer. I watched the accident happen....funny, I didn't see anybody from PRO floating out on the water and causing that Outerlimits to turn sharply...kind of twisted that they would be blamed, methinks.

Try and think of all the good that you had done in the past and hope you can figure a way to help in the future. Lawyers have to do their jobs, but you have to draw the line at where to stop the lawsuits.

I'm going by memory on this so not sure if correct. I'll do some more digging to see if true.
I recall in the 90's the Nevada Silver State Classic Challenge road race faced a simular suit. A Ferrari Testarossa rolled over killing a husband and wife, if remembered correctly the family sued. Today they enforce higher tire ratings, think that was the only damage done to them in being held slightly liable for the accident.
You guy's may want to contact them and if I'm right get a copy of the case, could have an angle for your lawyers.
