Had an '88 211 from 93 till 2000. Was a 460 King Cobra. Built a 540 for it and it handled the power very well. Solid old school boat.

I think these boats have great classic lines. If you find a clean one I'd get it.

hey mopower

i had a 211 liberator, then a formula 272 liek you

I just bought a formula 336, but your 540 272 is prolly still faster

fast fun 2

the 211 lib was the biggest 21' boat I ever rode. even with little bennet tabs, I could put the bow down and plow through the lake michigan waves.
a little bow steer when burried into 4 footers , but the spray was fun

did 53mph with a 260hp merc and alpha with 21 pitch

my Red 211 is still in the area ( 2 additional owners later) with "Rambunctious" across the transom in 8" high letters :evilb:

I had an '86 and loved it. Great handling boat- it could really carve well in the turns. Pretty solid with no rattles and a lot of teak. Mine had a 260 Merc in it too, and I could get about 52 out of her. Huge for a 21' boat. Stay away from the OMC versions-- you're not going to be able to maintain it anymore.

I have a 1988 201 Liberator. It has a built 383 with forged internals. I had it as fast as 68 mph - GPS with the Cobra drive. Upgrading to a Bravo currently. Having straight pipes installed to replace the fiberglass mufflers that were choking the engine.

i had a 1990 201. it was a great boat but i had a king cobra and it was the newer cone clutch version. the drive was still a pain in the a$$. ive heard when they are built right they are bullet proof but it is real hard to find someone to do it right. i do now of one for sale if you are interested. its a 1994 221 with a 460king cobra.boat is all white. if sure you can get a great deal on it.let me know if you want i can get you more info.

Hay man , when and from who did you buy the 211 ? I traded my red and black 87 to Saber in about '93 or 94 .
