Average stay in LV is seven years. You either go broke (gambling), die, or leave per the LV newapaper about two years ago. That being said, if you can adjust to the heat and NO humidity it could be a great place to live.

Had a home in nearby Boulder City (Lake Mead) for years, and its great. Plenty of boat/trailer parking, lots of larger lots except in newly developed projects, but its really, really hot for many months. I never felt any humidity, even during monsoons, they blow threw so quick you hardly know there was one. I know a lot of professional and medical people who live here and commute 20 minutes to LV. In our case, gambling is no problem, boating is...

I can tell you a lot about this town. I have a house for sale here too. 4 bed, 2 bath, attached 2 car garage and detatched 2 car garage, 20 X 40 workshop, 1/4 acre, concreted boat storage on side 15 minutes from Mead for under $300K!
I'll PM you about the town.

I wanted to move there (still kinda do) but I was told that there was such a surplus of Audio Engineers that I wouldn't make as much money. One company told me they would hook me up out there for work, but to the tune of $100 a day less than what I make in Orlando now!
