I tried several hotels and some already say NO rooms avail. That week is blocked out

Anyone check into insurance? Heard Markel is pushing hurricane season back another two weeks which would extend through November for us snowbirds trailering down meaning no dice for coverage on the run. Anyone know if this is true?
