I'm bummed that someone could take a boat with that kind of heretige and 1. change one of the most iconic graphics on any offshore race boat in the world (and notabley voted one of the best looking of all time). 2. Replace them with tribal crap 3. Cut the top off, effectively destroying the world record holding boat that it was. I personally think it had much more value the way it was. I know it wasn't cheap and you could have built a boat instead of ruining a great one.

So much for preserving history. To each his own though....

someone put a lot of money into converting this boat, don't put them down for it. if you wanted to keep it "original" then maybe you should have ponied up the $$.
