Todd glad you are doing well, I read the caring bridge entries and know how hard your fight was. Glad you were able to hang in there.

Todd,

Glad to hear things are going well. I dropped the Bullet in last weekend for the first time this season, running great. Give me a call when you have a chance.

I just read this on his caring bridge journal I am sure they will get through this bump as they have done with everything else they have had to face, but it just shows how long and hard ones journey as a bone marrow recipient is. Until I knew of Todd's struggle I always thought, bone marrow transplant, have it and get better, I never realized what a long and arduous journey it was. Thoughts and prayers as you work through this.

Hi - hope that this update finds everyone doing well. Todd and I just returned from our visit to Seattle on Friday morning. The initial results of the visit that we received were all positive. We are still waiting on a few of the results. The only concern is that Todd's platelets have been dropping. Last night we noticed that he developed a lot of pitekias(red bumps) on both of his legs, so after a call to our doctor and to Seattle, we were sent to the Emergency Room where they did a CBC and found out that Todd's platelet count has dropped to 2. So needless to say he is in the hospital and will be until he platelets come back up. He did receive a platelet transfusion early this morning and his count was only up to 4. The doctor was in this morning and said they are trying to figure out what is going on. They want to speak with Seattle to get the detailed report on the bone marrow. They also want to run some blood tests to see if his body has developed an anti-body to his platelets. This test can only be run in the labs on initial - Thursday, so I am sure they will run this test in the morning. I will be sure to update as soon as we hear anything else. Please continue to send your prayers, love and positive thoughts our way, as we continue on this journey and get thru this bump in the road. Love & Thanks!
