Thumbs down

I haven't heard many good things about BMax drives so it makes perfect sense that his customer support is as sub-par as his product.

LOL - Sounds like the Tommy Boy (movie) version...

what was the ratio of your XR drives vs your Bmax? I installed a Bmax on my old boat and the speed didnt change.

I think there is more than one thread with a similar story on the B-max products. Enough to keep me away.

Since making 1100 hp on the dyno last weekI have been contemplating buying a new B-max even though they still use stock lower gears and treating a set of my own lower gears for it and seeing what happens BUT after reading about the shifting problems, rear cap porosity, loss of speed plus the fact I called the bravo shop multiple times and was never able to speak with Dean or get a return phone call I'm not getting such a warm, fuzzy feeling about spending any money with them. This thread exemplifys why NOT to buy one,Smitty

How much power did he have?

How much speed did he loose?

Looks like even Mercury doesn't want to stand by its product.... Marine industry will always be this way unfortunately.
