I'm thinking about adding the Smartcraft SC5000 and was trying to get a general idea of cost of the system and installation before I asked the dealer. I think the SC5000 has a number of monitoring systems; I'd be looking at engine monitoring for both of my 2007 496 mag HO's. Is it a simple plug-and-play as long as the proper twin-engine harness is used?

Is there anything else special the SC5000 does? One smartcraft version has the ability to display waypoints and course when wired to a GPS but I don't think it's the 5000.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wonder what the difference between the regular and race edition was? How about the new Vessel View 7 cost?
