Has anyone tried Tommy's MDS box and rev limiters?
Does anyone have his complete graphics system yet? |

Merc 1075's. Best resale, reliable and turn key.
So essentially... $1,000 an hour for rebuilds if you have a twin. |
Ron Potter (formerly NorTech's engine builder)
I have seen his engines hold up better than any. |
If the choice were between the two it would be the injected 1075s. All big solid roller engines require top end work with in 70 or so hrs and if carburated with two circuit 1050 dominators they run so fat that they wash down your cylinders in the same time frame.
I wouldnt want to maintain either engines as with the avalible high reving haudralic lifters with no float even at 6500 rpms you dont need to run solid lifters to make big power on a marine application. There are guy's out there like Rudy @ Diamond Marine that builds our true 1200hp mills and more than likely Tommy at Cheif now building big power that will run 150hrs+ with out tearing them down. Injected or 3 circuit carbureted with hydraulic sticks. Good luck! |
