Im buying a 232 islander and will installing my 550 hp 502 , it might be a 540 if the budget allows. It has no tabs at all and we do a fair bit of low speed stuff , boarding , tubing etc. Will the dual ram bennetts stand up to 75-80 mph. A buddy blew his right off , but im wondering if he had them down at 60+. thnx sj
we did a set of the EMI k-plane 17" tabs on a 20ft hammer with a 540 and the the difference was night & day. I can put you in touch with the owner if you would like to talk to someone with first hand experience.

K-planes and hydro steer will be night and day on such a small boat with that kinda power. I wouldnt skimp if you are already going to the length of putting a HP motor in there. Sounds like you are keeping the boat for a while.
