Something is wrong with the seals. Both drives need to be pressure tested. This can't really be done with them still on the boat. One or more of the seals have gone bad, (hopefully). Cracked internal passages are unlikely.

Tony, congrats on the purchase.
That is one sweet 36!
I see you are in WPB. Where do you plan on keeping it or dipping it in?

What kind of speeds did this run with the 525’s? We’re they stock or turned up

When mine had stock 502’s and bravos she was 68-69mph. Then with 540’s (stroked the 502’s) and bravos (deep x) she was 72 maybe a tad better with wind chop and light load. Now imcos and higher x and a resto that shed some weight she might be a tad quicker. I’m hoping to take her out for the first time in a couple seasons this weekend to find out.

It was 70ish with the 525’s. Stock except switched to roller rocker from the flat tappet.

has anyone put 5's on boxes with some big power on one of these? With a high (or at least not burried in the basement) X dimension?

Thinking about picking up either this boat, or the damaged one in NY and putting some power to it.

Also, Warparty, it looks in this boat the bulkhead / tank is pushed back about a foot into the bilge form the actual bulkhead. Does the tank actually come back to the bulkhead or was that area just built for a step. As the other 36's with SSM drives dont have this area, i cant imagine they moved the tank back for a bravo application comparative to the ssm boats. Current owner, does not know.

I honestly couldn't answer that question. It is possible they would do that with Bravo boats to move some weight back.

Mine has the single 194 gallon tank and some tank exists under that step area. Mine actually has a flip up access lid in center of step looking thing and that is where the fuel gauge transducer is mounted into the tank.
