I think some LOTO regulars on here might question a 27' Formula on main channel weekend chop. I'm definitely open to hearing their opinions on it. Might have to ask on the Formula forum.

What year is it? Single or twin?

I can't say I'd be serious about it. I've passed up a couple 272's because of the size issue. Not just for chop, but also for cabin/cockpit space. If the info is out there, I'm always open to checking it out, though. I'm playing sponge at this point in boat-shopping and absorbing as much as I can about all boats out there. Thanks!

I just bought an 88 model Eleganza 255, with a broken engine...Ive been having a heck of a time trying to find out anything about it. I think I found more on this website than anywhere...Does anyone know the weight on a 255 with a single 454?

I bought it super cheap and Ill have it running by spring, but Im just trying to find out a little about it. I bought this to move up from my 19. wellcraft cuddy.

TIA...

Old thread, but Any idea what a 310 Eleganza would do with a pair of 502 MPIs? 70 mph?

Not sure, but I think my friend said his '93 310 Eleganza would do about 72mph with 500hp/engine, fwiw.

Wow, this IS an old thread.

Hmm, so 70 would be pushing it, most likely. Thanks for the information.

I am bringing up a VERY old thread! But thought it was worth a try. I like the boats as there cheap to go out on play around. And run a decent 70. But here's one I found if anybody is looking for something to start out with.

My IMP 310 did 75mph with 320EFIīs and TRS drives when the previous owner had it.
But there’s a difference between my IMP and other IMPīs and that is that one of the previous owners replaced all of the wood in the boat with core material (Divinycell) which made a huge difference on the total weight.
