The 40 Skater is a very fast hull, faster than the 46 with the same power. Somebody is giving you bad info. Larry Goldman at Xtreme Marine is one the finest cat guys in the industry. He can help you with questions about Skaters. What is happening with the aluminum cat you are building?

Like I said, you are a little off. I belive the 315k was an option without power or drives.

A guy who has no seat time is guessing how fast a 40 Skater is. The guys who own them are actually arguing with this guy who will probably never buy one. With 900sc's the 40 ran 135-140. I have been in a 40 Skater at 183 and 191 with 1400s. So figure somewhere in between for speed and hp.

My neighbors 2006 40 Flatdeck ran 188.5 best speed with Sterlings this summer.
