Default wow.. another prop question..

So my prop on my boat is the dull stainless steel..

Is there a benefit to having it buffed out to a smoother shiny surface..

I was wondering about even trying to do it myself with a buffing wheel and some compound..

????????????

Satin finish is supposed to be like 1% faster.
