whats the right price to dump this thing
I just reduced it 5 minutes ago again, started at 50k, am i out of line, is it a bad time of yr, or just bad market?
http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...er-F1-92203545 http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o18970-en.html its a super fun boat, i'd rather keep it, but the old lady is ready to switch up |
Bad time of year and a bad market. Its like a double wamey.
I think its priced right. Good luck. |
that is a very good looking boat! bad market good luck

seems like the market is really tough...that's about the the same price I got from a guy for a trade in on my 29 footer...unless you really need to dump it, closer to summer usually produces better numbers...good luck..
|
Looks like a good deal to me.
|
Please don't take this as an insult because that isn't my intent, but if it got down around the 30K number, I would be interested in getting it. I think it would be alot of fun and a good introductory raceboat. That thing would be a blast to race in OPA next year!!! As was said already, the used boat market sucks right now and I really don't see it getting any better in the next year or two. Too many contributing factors.

Wish it had a cabin.
|
no cabin, seats 4(non matching seats), no rear padded hatch.
this gives you a very limited market. Maybe you should consider what Craig may pay? |
WOW, that would be a great hot rod boat and/or P Class race boat. I owned a 2000 Fountain 29 Fever and it was an awesome boat, built very well. I had a lot of fun with it.
|
what I see is a very limited use boat. The seating arrangement would turn away most "pleasure boaters" I think. Good price, thats for sure.
|
yea, i dont disagree with all that, its certainly not a family boat for a family of 4, but me and my girlfriend and usually another couple have enjoyed some fun diiners, poker runs, etc....
i know i looked around for a boat just like this until i found it, something farily stock but faster than most, and affordable, i know its a rare bread, but i figure there have got to be some other speed freaks out there who want something fairly new, with realiable power and drive etc........ if i keep it through the winter i will prolly bring it back to fountain for a rear bench seat, i was quoter like 1200 in spring, so its not too bad, that was going to be the first thing i did but as we went out more and more and people sat in those back seats they said they loved them |

$$ seem reasonable, going to need to find the right person for a boat like that. Market is really tough now.
good luck. Dean |
It's like you said, YOU bought it, so in time there will be another "you" who is looking at just the right time and has the loot here eventually. As stated, it's not a great time, both in market and season.
Good Luck. |
just give that heap away...

It really is a fun boat, this was the best year by far i've had with poker runs, handles any water you throw at it!
|

|

nov 7th you supplied a link and it shows 36999$. The last link 2 post ago is still 36999$ What is your new price? Or did the link in the first post is the same as the one 2 post ago?
|
The market is tough right now............best of luck selling the boat. IMO, I would change the rear seats out with a bench seat. Otherwise, it's a nice boat!
|
Nice beak boat! I agree with the rear seat comments... not exactly pleasure boat friendly. Good Luck with the sale!
|
Good luck with the sale, I was interested in this type of boat for OPA racing for 2008 Season, but I dont think I will have the time to race this year. great price, I wish some of the boats owner I have talked to about thier boat would let them go cheaper, the market is bad, I gave away my Donzi 26 ZX.

started at 50k, then 44k, then 40k, now 36k
|
this still has not moved...a few years older but larger

I like both boats, but the larger one in the quoted link would appeal to a larger audience. As long as it surveys well, just get a new interior & paint half the fairing and you have a really nice boat!
I also like the 29' in this thread, but at $36k it seems to remain priced high for the current market. It's going to be a buyers market for quite some time. Good Luck!
