I agree - twins are easier to maneuver, but things do break, and entry level I would rather have one engine than two to fix and freshen up and drives to repair and gas to fill up. Just my .02, but having a sense of security when something breaks in the water is important also.

I hear ya appadiahee, its definitly easier maintance and cost wise to have just one under the hatch. But hey, theres nothing cheap or easy when it comes to these pocket vacuums we float around on.

You are correct there. Hey no one said I was smart about it either. I just bought a 32 Skater with twins. It seems that as gas gets more expensive I just use more of it. Now I have to learn how to drive twins myself.

Another thing - never be a 2 boat owner. I am really shooting myself in the foot. I can only use one at a time and insurance for a 27 year old in the hi perf world is outreageous.

Yeah, that's no fun.

But ya gotta pay to play. :D

Yeah I know that for sure. Thanks for the help!

I was thinking 92+ year wise... I think it will be easier to get financed and I like the idea of updated cockpits and interiors. I do like the idea of stockish power for reliability's sake, I'm not made of money and want something that makes sense.

What do you think of this from the first page?

I think thats a sweet azz boat. In fact I almost bought it. I was going to this spring, but the apache kind of fell in my lap.

Also take a look at the 28 Saber. There is a member with one and he is willing to let it go for $43K (asking). New interior, rebuilt engine (single 502), new paint and trailer. I was going to buy that one as well. The twin engine 28 saber cyclone is the only boat under 30ft to receive powerboat mag.'s most outstanding offshore boat of the year (something like that). If I was in your shoes thats the one I'd get.

Here's a real sweet little Donzi that won't cause you any head aches. I'm sure the owner would love to sell so don't be too shy to throw out an offer. :D

Sweet Donzi

Sharp looking boat... What year is it?

Lofty 01-11-2008 01:01 PM

Thanks, it's a 90'. I would sure love to sell her but I don't feel like giving it away.

baddogz28 01-11-2008 03:11 PM

I don't blame you on that... Nice boat.
