Tank, I would definetly go along with your thoughts. Someone else I thought mentioned it was a loosly organized site and then Jeff came into play for awhile and then obviously Steve brought things to a whole new level. I think we all would agree Jeff certainly had a good idea!

I would spend weekends in havasu at a house owned my a girl named michelle who did the original codes for Jeffrey. My wife and I would watch her put this site together. Who would have thought that it would come to what it is today. I knew Jeffrey before he owned his first boat. He was right off the boat , I mean plane

AudioFN
R Addiction
OldSchool

You guys more posts than I, so obviously you have no lives!!!!!! :D :D

The really sad part is that they trimmed about 6000 posts off our numbers when posts have been deleted. LOL!

Man I lurked on here for a LONG time before I ever joined, like the better part of a year easy......I had just got a computer and had no idea how long the site had been up......seems not very long.......in those days it seemed to be an informal meeting place for SCOPE members......Nort, D'Man, River Girl etc........I knew I could join but Imean they had a CHICK!! on there with a Gun and 900sc's!!......and I had a what???......and was from where???.......and like Jerry said later they developed a kind of "code".......the "tug tug" days.

I remember when the charter memberships came around you could email in and get one......i thought "well.....whats that going to do for me?"........guess I shoulda'......would be cool now........seen a PILE of guys come and go but its still fun and very informative in SO many different ways........doug

Here it is some 8 yrs later and I still have no idea what the hell the Llama races were. Figured some secret code, kind like the early secret OSO code 'tug-tug'. :p

I haven't been back there since I joined here.

Wow! THIS is sure a blast from the past!I was thinking I was one of the first ten members. I had forgotten that the original "OSO" member numbers "reset" not long after the original OSO started.
Ahhhh, the good old days of llama Racing...

Pretty far back.........? :D 1999

Gordo 04-12-2010 08:02 AM

I was thinking Jeffrey started it in 1998, but I'll trust your memory before I trust mine...

Todd Hartigh 04-12-2010 10:25 AM

#72, been using the same screen name since the start.

99' was just when it went to a new style format. I think it was around late 96 or early 97 that it was first started.

glassdave 04-12-2010 10:39 AM

I'm just glad theres no hour meter on this thing to tell exactly how much time I've spent on here :D

That would be as fun as knowing how much i spent on boat gas each year lol
