I am not arguing the cheesyness of 3 days notice, HOWEVER, where does it say "Fountain" on any of the news releases except for the location? Not even on the Fountain site. Why don't you bash Mercury? Sounds like their idea. Rick Mackey is the marketing guy at Mercury Racing. Maybe they were chicken to let people in at the X Site.
You people seem to have read alot into the "Challenge" that ain't in print.

To be honest, it was deleted for a while then came back as the Mercury Challenge.

You know, they build a great boat and they should just offer it up as such.
"The Beast" would have been much more impressive with a true reveal at the Miami Boat show, showing the boat and motors and just how bad ass they are as an incredible Fountain / Mercury Offshore Fishing Machine.
That doesn't mean it's the fastest CC on earth.

Those are not stock cowlings on those Verados. There is a larger air intake on the top and a bulge on the front of the motor. Is this the test boat?
