Our 650 Package is based off of a 540. Many customers with 3-400 hours with no issues

My experiences with 540ci were nothing but positive. (One valve failure) but that's part of game.

You want start with a tall deck block to get better rod ratio I think that's what your engine builder didn't like with the standard deck it's hard on the pistons my 3 cent Oyay I had 540s and loved them tall decks
