I'd like to thank all of you for your kind words. I had an autopsy done to see if what I was being told was true. It seemed odd to me that she went from healthy to dead in 48 hours. It turns out that she died from something called Feline Infectous Peritonitis (FIP). To make a long story short, she likely caught it from another cat when she was in the shelter. They said that 1 in 5000 dies from it but when they do, it takes only a couple of months to mutate and drop them. Its very contagious and before I can get another cat, I have to wash my entire Condo down with a mixture of bleach (walls, ceilings, floors, shampoo rugs; the whole routine).

For all you cat-people, check it out; its something to be cognizant of.
